Listening & Arranging - Workshop

Michael will be conducting a guitar workshop focussing on the role of the guitar player in the band environment primarily in the 3 & 4 piece scenario.

With the assistance of his band, (Ric Whittle - Drums & Tony Gibbs - Bass), Michael will be explaining his approach to finding instrumental part arrangements within the group, finding complimentary sound and tone for the instruments, how and what to listen to and most importantly, how to balance the band onstage.

The goal of the workshop is to attempt to cure the “Loud Guitarist Who Doesn’t Listen To Anybody Else In The Band Disease”.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the event and be seated before the advertised start time. We recommend festival-goers attend this session from start to finish, though if entering the session late please be discreet and courteous of others. Instruments not required.
