Learning the major scale modes can seem like a daunting prospect. By the time you have worked through the pages upon pages of scale shapes and read all the theory books, you have yet to make any actual music!
This workshop is aimed at giving beginner-intermediate guitarists a practical and musical perspective that is not dependent on learning new scale shapes, but rather evoking new flavours using the scales we likely already know.
The focus will be on application in a lead guitar context, and participants will be encouraged to improvise melodies and solos with an opportunity to jam in the latter part of the workshop.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the event and be seated before the advertised start time. We recommend festival-goers attend this session from start to finish. Bring your instrument.
