Local youth services, community groups, carers and school leaders are invited to join Wagga Wagga City Council for a morning tea launching the official WAGGA YOUTH WEEK 2023 program!

Wagga Wagga City Council has consulted with young people 12 to 25 years old throughout 2022 to inform youth events, activities and communications going forward. Council has worked with local community groups and youth services to curate a a packed program for local you[th] that aims to be life-skills based, providing inclusive and accessible activity options for a broad range of young people.

Light refreshments will be made available, so please advise of any dietary requirements when registering for free.

About Youth Week:

NSW Youth Week 2023 will take place from 20 to 30 April 2023. It is organised by young people, for young people, in communities across NSW and Australia. Following the success of the NSW Youth Week program, Youth Week became a national event in 2000. National Youth Week is jointly supported by the Australian government, state and territory governments and local governments.

If you’re aged between 12 -24, Youth Week is an opportunity to: share ideas, attend live events, have your voice heard on issues of concern to  you, showcase your talents, celebrate your contribution to the community, take part in competitions and have fun!


    Event Accessibility: 
    • Hearing Aid Loop system which consists of a wire loop that is installed in the Civic Centre Meeting Room and is connected to the sound system. 
    • Wheelchair accessible: The Civic Centre Main Meeting Room is located on the ground floor of the Wagga Wagga Civic Centre with accessible bathroom facilities, wide doorways and automatic entryways. Ramps to the Civic Centre from the street can be found on Baylis and Morrow Street. Disability Permit parking can be located on Morrow and Baylis Streets.
