Guided Sea Kayaking adventure and coastal tent camping experience

18th-19th February from 9 am Sat to 2 pm Sunday

Knowledgeable leaders from the Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre will support participants on a Sea Kayaking journey. Participants will learn essential sea kayaking skills to enable the use of tandem sea kayaks to get to their campsite for the night. Location to be announced but will be in the Auckland area somewhere sheltered in between the North Shore and Rodney districts.

No experience is necessary, the most important thing you need is a passion for the ocean and a can-do attitude. All necessary equipment and gear will be provided for the activities. Meals are not included. Bring along your togs, towel, a tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow, camp cooker, food and overnight bag. (We may be able to help provide some of this gear.)

Find more information about the full 6-month WOW membership which is for females between the ages of 18-24yrs, who are living on the North Shore of Auckland.

Stay connected to the Wāhine on Water community through this Facebook group.

This project is made possible through the allocation of Tu Munawa Fund, Harbour Sport and Sir Peter Blake MERC.
