Adventures at Goat Island Marine Reserve and Pakiri beach

Experience Goat Island Marine Reserve and camp overnight at the coastal campground at Pakiri Beach. Participate in outdoor adventure activities such as snorkelling, freediving theory session and a day hike - activity choices will be sea-state/swell dependent. Embrace the opportunity to connect with like-minded wāhine. Explore and adventure in, on and under the water. Learn new skills and experience the ocean with us!

This overnight adventure opportunity is open to any interested females 18 & up.

Knowledgeable leaders from the Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre will support participants to take part in adventurous water activities, gain new skills and knowledge of a range of ocean sports and activities. No experience is necessary, the most important thing you need is a passion for the ocean and a positive attitude.

Meals are not included. Bring along your togs, towel, a tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow, camp cooker, food and overnight bag. We have snorkeling gear available to borrow. If you need to hire camping equipment, please select the add ons available after ticket selection.

This trip is an option included in WOW memberships, which are for females living in North Auckland, between the ages of 18-24yrs. If you have a membership for the 2022-23 season and have not used all 3 of your weekend passes you can use it for this weekend. WoW events are made possible through the allocation of Tū Munawa Fund as a result of collaboration between Sir Peter Blake MERC & Harbour Sport.
