The Long Lunch is back for 2027
After a sold-out 2026, the Long Lunch is back for 2027. Join us for an afternoon of great food, good company and generosity in support of Waipuna Hospice.
Gather your friends, colleagues and clients for a long, relaxed lunch where every seat at the table helps support patients and families across Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty. Expect beautifully styled tables, delicious food and drinks, live entertainment and a few surprises along the way.
Guest speakers will be announced soon, so keep an eye out.

Tickets: $195pp or $1950 for a table of 10

FAQs
- When will the silent auction go live?
The silent auction opens online one week before the event. We'll email the link to all ticket holders so you can browse and start bidding early.
- Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Please tell us about any dietary requirements when you book, or email us by Friday 24 September 2027.
A note for guests with coeliac disease
Our caterer will do their very best to prepare gluten-free meals safely, but their kitchen is not a certified coeliac-safe environment. Wheat-based products are prepared and baked in the same space, so there is a risk of cross-contact from airborne flour and shared equipment. - Is there parking?
Yes. Enter Mercury Baypark via Entrance 1 on Truman Lane and follow Baypark Boulevard to the public parking areas. Mobility parking is available close to the Arena.
As it's a long lunch, we encourage everyone to plan a safe way home. Tauranga Mount Taxis (0800 829 448) and Bay Dial-A-Driver (027 212 7070) are both good options, and it's worth booking ahead.

Our dress code is Business Casual & Beyond.
Think smart, polished and ready for a great afternoon - but if you've been waiting for an excuse to dust off something a little fancier, this is it! There's absolutely room to dress up and make an occasion of it.

A three-course lunch

And there's plenty more happening on the day - including our silent auction, which will also be open to supporters beyond the room.
- Do I need to print my ticket?
No - save the trees! We'll be expecting you!
- Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Arena entrance is fully wheelchair accessible, with lifts to all floors. If you need accessible seating, let us know when you book.
- Where does the money raised go?
Every dollar raised supports Waipuna Hospice to provide free compassionate end-of-life care to patients and families across Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty.
