WAIS x Mid West Region Coaches Forum

As part of the 2026 Regional Tours, WAIS will host Coaches and Parents Forums across the South West, Great Southern, Mid West and Peel regions, providing local sporting communities with an opportunity to connect directly with WAIS staff and athletes.

Attendees will hear from WAIS Community Engagement Coordinator Jake Trewin, WAIS Connection to Country Officer and Hockeyroo Mariah Williams, and WAIS Para Unit Lead and Paralympian Brad Scott, gaining unique insights from across the high-performance sporting environment.

The forums will include updates on WAIS program offerings, an introduction to the WAIS Para Unit, and information about Connection to Country pathways.

Hear firsthand stories from Mariah Williams and Brad Scott about their journeys in sport, the challenges and opportunities they have experienced, and the people and programs that have supported their development.

The sessions will also provide an opportunity for coaches and parents to ask questions, connect with WAIS staff, and learn more about how they can support athletes at different stages of their sporting journey.

Light refreshments will be provided, creating an opportunity for attendees to connect, share knowledge and build relationships with other coaches, parents and members of the regional sporting community.

These sessions are designed to inform, inspire and empower regional coaches and parents to better support the next generation of athletes.
