Walk Against Family Violence 2024

Join RMIT’s Prevention & Respect team at this years Walk Against Family Violence hosted by Respect Victoria on Friday 22 November.

Walk with us in solidarity as we acknowledge the impact that violence has on our community and show your support for preventing gender-based violence and harm at RMIT.

Event Details:

Walk Start Time:
The walk will begin at 11:00am at Birrarung Marr (Upper Terrace) with a Welcome to Country and opening remarks.

Meeting Point:

Meet RMIT staff at 10.30am at Fed Square opposite Flinders Street Station. Official walk will begin from Birrarung Marr (Upper Terrace).

Look for the Prevention & Respect team, we’ll have RMIT flags so you can easily spot us.

If you have RMIT branded clothing or lanyards we encourage you to wear these as we’ll be proudly representing RMIT during the walk.

Where is the walk?
The walk starts at Birrarung Marr (Upper Terrace) and continues to Treasury Gardens (about 700 metres) where we will hear from an inspiring lineup of speakers.
