Walk and Talk: A Burning Passion.

Join us for another 'Walk and Talk' workshop, this time discussing the impacts of fire on our forests and farmlands from the experience of three landscape management experts. 

Two presenters will join us live in the field as we view and discuss the challenges and impacts within a light bushland and paddock environment. Local Gunnai man, Wayne Thorpe, will offer information from the perspective of a local indigenous man, and Joe Stevens will offer a perspective from someone whose involvement began in the 1970s in the Lands Department, before moving onto Forestry, and Parks Victoria. On arrival back at the Clifton Creek Hall, Professor David Lindenmayer will join us on the big screen to offer his perspective on forest ecology. 

This will be a day of open dialogue and discussion - bring an open mind, sturdy shoes, and clothes to suit the weather on the day!!

Lunch will be provided. 

Meet at 9am at the Clifton Creek Hall. Most of the morning will be spent outdoors in local paddocks and light bushland before returning to the Hall for the final presentation and lunch. Please advise dietary requirements while booking. 

All welcome, but Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
