Join us for a morning of celebration, inspiration and belonging! Be a part of history as we launch the inaugural International Women’s Day Walk along the stunning Port Phillip Bay waterfront – to recognise, celebrate and empower women in our community.
THE COURSE. Starting at Frankston Pier. A 5-7km scenic course aimed to make the most of the coast -- following the beach towards Seaford with an exhilarating finish at Frankston Yacht Club and the iconic backdrop of Frankston Jetty. Join us for a beach trek where you can challenge yourself as you walk along the water to return to the Yacht Club. If the beach is not for you, make use of the alternative coastal trail.
CELEBRATE. The finishers hub at Frankston Yacht Club will be filled with celebration, inspiration and light refreshments. Enjoy a big dose of inspiration by our emcee and keynote speakers:

COUNT HER IN. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of women in our community and help the Women’s Spirit Project meet the exponential growth in demand for our programs. With your support, we can continue to inspire and empower more women experiencing disadvantage across our region. Your support will directly fund programs that our community desperately needs. It also provides the rare opportunity to seed fund a new walk for Victoria -- designed to celebrate women and advance gender equity. The perfect opportunity to step outside and celebrate the incredible women in our community.

WHAT TO WEAR.
- Active wear, including comfortable shorts, hiking pants or leggings.
- Walking shoes / runners ideally closed to avoid too much sand entering your shoes. You may like to bring gaiters to keep the sand out.
- Weather appropriate gear incl. hats & sunscreen.
- What if it rains? We will walk rain hail or shine unless the weather is deemed unsafe. Please bring a rainjacket in case of rain.
- Water: bring your own water bottle, there is a refill station along the way.
You are encouraged to wear teal! Limited Team Teal t shirts are available for sale via our online store and post the walk at the finishers hub.
ABOUT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY. International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating women and a call to action for further accelerating gender equality. Held annually on March 8th, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women and accelerate equality. There has never been a better time to celebrate and support women in our communities. Take a few hours out to connect and be a catalyst for change. Empower women experiencing disadvantage to change their lives.
