Walk with the Rangers
Event description
NOTE: Dye to unforeseen circumstances Vanessa and Rachel cannot join us for this walk HOWEVER we have Malcom Grant ex Park Ranger and is the full bottle on the FRNP and you will also be accompanied by Genna Van Hinsberg (Horticulturist) & Marcia Norrish, Wildflower Show Member.
Take a walk and talk with the rangers of the Fitzgerald River NP and a member or two from the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show. The walk is approximately 10kms long and is a medium - hard walk along a few fishing tracks until we hit the iconic Hakea Trail and head back to West Beach taking in some of the most spectacular and rugged coastline.
This walk takes in a a variety of wildflowers from different soil types.It is spectacular scenery and rugged diverse geological formations.
This is 4 HOUR walk you will be walking in diverse terrain.
This is a bush walk along tracks and there are no toilet facilities along the track so visit the Cave Point area near by before you arrive at West Beach car park
We will meet at West Beach Carpark (in the national park) and be bused to the starting point near Hamersley Dunes access point. As the bus will be leaving directly after dropping us at the start point you will not be able to leave anything on the bus.
We will walk back to your pick up point. Bring snacks ,water, sunscreen, water and your lunch if you wish and enjoy it at the end of the walk.
Where to meet
West Beach Carpark off Cave Point Rd in the Fitzgerald River NP.
Time: 8am for a 8:30 start and back at approximately 12:30
