Women’s Walking Meet-Up – Northern NSW

Love walking, hiking, or simply getting outdoors with good company? Come along to our relaxed and friendly women’s walking meet-up this Saturday in beautiful Burringbar – the forecast is looking sunny and stunning!

We’ll take a gentle 45min to 1hr stroll together (all fitness levels are very welcome!), with time to connect, chat, and soak up nature. I’ll also be sharing some tips on walking safely and giving a little sneak peek into the upcoming Hike to Thrive intermediate hiking program starting 9 June.

Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just love a weekend wander, this is a lovely way to meet like-minded local women and enjoy some time on the trail together.

SCHEDULE:

2:00pm Intro

2:05pm Walk

3:00-3:15am Chat and Q&A

3:15pm onwards chai/coffee and chats at local cafe (optional)

LOCATION: Burringbar, QLD (meet-up location will be provided on registration)

WHAT TO BRING:

* Water bottle with 1L of water

* Hat, shoes, sunscreen, raincoat (weather dependent), mozzie repellant (optional we'll be walking through a short forested area)

NOTE:
- The event is for women 18yrs+
- You'll need to sign a waiver to participate in this event
- Beginners welcome. You'll need to be able to walk up to 1hr. The trail is rail trail with wide paths. Cyclists will be present, safety briefing will be provided prior to start of walk.
- Please be responsible and aware of your physical and mental abilities and only choose to participate if it's right for you and your body. This event is not intended as therapy, please seek advice from health professionals if this is what you are needing.
- The host will monitor weather conditions and will only cancel the event if there is extreme weather. We will still walk in rain if safe to do so (it's part of the fun). Refunds will only be provided if the host cancels the event due to weather, although the host will make every attempt to reschedule
