Walking tour through Ridge Park

What better way to learn about your favourite nature spot in your neighbourhood than from hearing from the people who care for it?

Join us for a guided appreciation and biodiversity tour of Ridge Park. 

Learn about history of the Ridge Park and how City of Unley staff have been restoring the creek line with indigenous vegetation. You’ll hear about and see how storm water is captured, treated and reused in Unley and visit the various indigenous plants that inhabit the area including some of the oldest River Red Gums in the City of Unley.  Find out more about the City of Unley’s Masterplan for future activities in Ridge Park.

Tours will be led by City of Unley staff from the Biodiversity and City Design teams.

The content is most suitable for adults and older children. The walk will not be difficult but may be undulating or uneven in places.

Meet at the Ridge Park entrance next to Glen Osmond Scout Hall, Barr-Smith Avenue, Myrtle Bank.

We encourage participants to use sustainable methods of transport to and from the event, i.e. walk, cycle, bus or car pool.
