Walking Wild School Holiday Workshop

Get out and get wild this spring! Join Nearer to Nature, the Shire of Mundaring and the Bibbulmun Track Foundation in the Beelu National Park as we trek the Bibbulmun track. Learn from experts on what to pack for a hike, how to adventure smart and have a go at pitching your own tent. Explore the wonders of spring and record wildlife observations. Become a citizen scientist as you spot wildlife - including birds, pollinators and reptiles. Nature is calling - will you answer? 

Date: 2nd October 2025

Location: Perth Hills Discovery Centre (380 Allen Road, Mundaring)

Time: 9am-12pm

Ages: 12-17yrs

Please note, to participate in this activity, you will need to complete a medical form found here.

Where to meet  

Your activity will start at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre (380 Allen Rd Mundaring). Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your activity commences for check in. All sessions will start no later than 5 minutes after the scheduled start time.  

Drop off program  

As advised when booking, this is a drop off activity suitable for ages 12-17yrs. Please do not just drop your child off from the car, you will need to check them in at the start of the activity and sign them out before taking them home.  

Dress code  

Dress for the weather, we try to spend as much time as we can outdoors. Wear hats, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes and bring wet weather gear if required. We encourage you to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent.
