Event description

There are two community clean up events coming to Wallsend this August:


1. CLEANUP IN THE PARKS

And skate demos by Professional Skateboarder George Richards and Friends

Date & Time: Saturday 31st August, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Location: Wallsend Skatepark, 93 Cowper Street, Wallsend.

Event Description:
Join us for a day of community spirit and fun at Wallsend Skatepark! Not only will you be helping to keep our skatepark clean and safe, but professional skateboarder George Richards and his friends will be performing skate demos on the day!

Whether you're an experienced skater or just want to make a difference in your community, this event is for you. After the cleanup, enjoy a FREE LUNCH with your fellow volunteers.

What to Bring:

  • A hat and a water bottle
  • Good walking shoes
  • Gloves (if you have them; we'll also provide some on the day)

RSVP: While you are welcome to just show up on the day, we would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know you are coming by booking a free ticket to the event/s you will be attending. This will help us with catering and equipment.

Let's keep our skatepark looking its best and have a great time while doing it!


2. IRONBARK CREEK COMMUNITY CLEAN UP

Lets work together to help keep our waterways clean and vibrant! 

Date & Time:
 Friday 30th August, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Location: UPDATED LOCATION INFORMATION - Meet at the south end of Federal Park, Wallsend. Just near the footbridge going across Ironbark Creek, just off Low Street. We will clean up the section of Ironbark Creek around the park, as well as Federal Park itself.

Event Description:
This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and protect our natural environment. The creek is a vital part of our local ecosystem, and your efforts will help keep it healthy and beautiful.

After the cleanup, enjoy a FREE LUNCH and connect with fellow community members who share your commitment to keeping our surroundings clean.

What to Bring:
