Matariki wānanga with Heidi Brickell

Join artist Heidi Brickell at Enjoy Contemporary Art Space for a special Matariki wānanga on Friday 28 June, from 1pm. 

As the exhibition A koru is a trajectory closes and Matariki commences, we will gather together to participate in a relaxed rākau twining workshop while hearing kōrero from Brickell about the interconnectivity of Matariki, Tāwhirimātea and ngā kare ā-roto. This emotional terminology reflecting the ocean or the waves inside is relevant not only to our current exhibition and artist’s mahi toi, but also to our lives right now.

This event is free to attend and all ages are welcome. All materials and light refreshments will be provided.
