Wander Writers: a creative writing workshop series in Mont Albert
Description
Whether you've been writing for years or have always wanted to start - this is your invitation.
Wander Writers is a fortnightly creative writing workshop held at cape café, Mont Albert. Each session explores a theme through short prompts and writing sprints, with space to share what you've written - or simply to listen. All prompts are an invitation and a challenge, never an obligation.
Come to write. Come to find your voice. Come to be in a room with other people who believe in the power of creative writing and stories.
What to expect:
Each 90-minute session centres on a theme, with 2-3 prompts, short writing sprints, and time to share. Bring whatever you're working on (you can use the prompts to further develop your manuscript), or arrive with blank pages and leave with something new.
The series:
Workshop 1 — Beginnings (Thu 8 Oct)
Workshop 2 — Place (Thu 22 Oct)
Workshop 3 — Character (Thu 5 Nov)
Workshop 4 — Memoir (Thu 19 Nov)
Workshop 5 — Open (Thu 3 Dec) — theme to be chosen by the group
Tickets: $35 full / $25 concession
When: fortnightly Thursdays, 10–11.30am
Where: cape café, Mont Albert

Amy is also the instigator of Wander Library, a community-owned creative space we hope to open soon in Mont Albert Village.
Wander Writers workshops are supported by cape café, Mont Albert Village's social enterprise café at the historic station building.
