Event description
WAPS Launch Event: Music for Mushrooms Screening + Expert Panel Discussion
📅 Wednesday 11 June, 6:30pm
📍 Luna Cinemas, Leederville
Join us for a transformative evening as we officially relaunch the Western Australian Psychedelic Society (WAPS) – a community hub for education, connection, and open dialogue around the responsible use of psychedelics.
We’ll be screening Music for Mushrooms: A Soundtrack for the Psychedelic Practitioner – a stunning, immersive documentary by East Forest exploring the healing power of music in guided psilocybin sessions. This rarely screened film is both a sonic journey and a deep dive into the intentional use of sound to support inner exploration.
Following the film, stay for a compelling Q&A panel featuring four of WA’s leading voices in the psychedelic and healing space:
🌿 Dr Stephen Bright – Clinical psychologist and drug policy researcher
🌿 Tobias Penno – Psychedelic researcher and founder of ‘Psychedelic Healthcare’
🌿 Kylie Wilson – Sound Healing therapist and facilitator
🌿 Steven Alyian – Musician and integrative psychotherapist
This is more than a film night – it’s a chance to reconnect, learn, and help shape the future of our psychedelic community here in WA.
Come early to meet like-minded people and help us celebrate this new chapter.
