Warden Lane Reserve Celebration
Event description
Wooragee Landcare would like to invite you to come and see how we have transformed Warden Lane, a licenced site that we have been working on since about 2005, spraying weeds, including blackberries, the removal of fences, willows and poplars.Â
In 2019 we were successful in our application for a Communities Environment Program Grant which we have used to transform this weed ridden and neglected piece of land adjoining Reedy Creek to an educational display of native plants with a picnic table and information board about the plants growing there. The Wooragee Landcare group continues to take care of this land by holding monthly working bees, workshops and informal get togethers.Â
We are inviting our local councillors, Mr Bill Tilley, Helen Haines, and the public to come and see this new space and enjoy what it has to offer.
Join us on the corner of Warden Lane and Beechworth Wodonga Road in Wooragee for refreshments and celebrations.
