	Know Your Fabrics quiz Do you know your fabrics and materials? Guess the composition of some of our pre-loved pieces in a fun and interactive way! Be in the running to win a hand-made upcycled vest by The Alterreal (RRP RM 258) The Alterreal is run by Rachelle, embracing the idea of upcycled apparel to combat the unnecessary trend chase, often through new, but cheap apparel. Rachelle’s main inspiration stems from elements of nature and everyday life. She loves observing different ways people dress to adapt to an environment, working towards complementing our attire to environments we commonly find ourselves in. Rachelle wants to step away from creating garments that might depict wearers of her designs as an illusory effect of aspirational figures of success, social status, and glam. Instead, she aims to create designs oriented for everyday wear, humble creative expression, and practical use.
	Know Your Natural Dyes A demonstration booth by Ummi Junid, founder of DuniaMotif Ummi Junid is a Malaysian batik artist and a natural dyer. She explores and shares her love of natural dye in various way by looking beyond the current take-make-waste industrial model. She completed her MA in Textile Design focusing on kitchen waste dye. She is currently on a mission to share her work through slow crafted processes, particularly looking beyond traditional batik and natural dye making.
