Bring along a piece of clothing you never wear, something that feels a little too plain or simply needs a creative refresh. Or, if you don’t have anything in mind, head into the West Winds Op Shop on the day and choose a pre-loved piece to play with.

Join Emily for a fun, hands-on workshop exploring surface pattern design and creative techniques for transforming clothing. You’ll experiment with colour, pattern, texture and simple ways to add your own creative mark, turning an ordinary garment into something much more individual.

This is about having a go, exploring ideas and discovering how a few creative techniques can completely change the look and feel of a piece. No previous experience needed, just bring your imagination and a willingness to experiment!

Perfect for creative makers, thrift lovers, fashion rebels and anyone who’d rather redesign than replace. Learn skills you can take home and use again, while giving an old or unwanted garment a fresh lease on life.

Bring something boring. Leave with something uniquely yours. ✨

All materials and healthy snacks supplied. Suitable for beginners.

Emily will be your workshop facilitator, holds a WWVP card (available upon request). Supported by a West Winds member of staff or qualified volunteer.
