    Warm enough, cool enough: The principles of passive solar design

    Passive solar design is a cornerstone of any sustainable build or renovation. Well-designed passive solar homes require very little heating and cooling, and stay comfortable all
    year round at very low cost. In this session, we’ll explore passive solar design principles, and how to get them right. In the second half of this session we’ll open up a panel discussion and Q&A session with our experts.

    Please note that this session will start at 6:30pm (AEST) and end between 8 - 8:30pm (AEST), depending on audience questions. The session will be recorded and sent out to registered participants. 

    Speakers 

    Jenny Edwards, Light House Architecture & Science

    Jenny Edwards is the director and lead scientist at Light House Architecture and Science, an interdisciplinary company focused on smaller, smarter sustainable homes.

    Graham Hunt,  Delisle Hunt Wood

    Graham is a Renew's Board Secretary and a Registered Architect with over 33 years of experience and a NatHERS assessor with over 20 years of experience. He is currently Director of Delisle Hunt Wood Pty Ltd Architects. Graham represents the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) on various national government committees in relation to the NatHERS system and energy efficiency in the building regulations. For the Australian Building Sustainability Association (ABSA) he undertakes QA assessments of NatHERS assessments and assist with their technical support.

    Host - Talina Edwards - Envirotecture 

    Talina has over 25 years experience in Architectural practice, and is a registered Architect in Victoria, a Certified Passive House Designer and is currently undertaking the Living Future Accreditation course to pursue her regenerative-design ethos for a society that is socially just, culturally rich and ecologically restorative.
