Warm Mids (mini) Afternoon - Ruby Ester Mae (AKA Clariloops) + Anna Morley
Description
As we enter the last month of winter in Naarm/Melbourne, join us for a beautiful afternoon of ambient music featuring vibraphone, clarinet and electronics from Ruby Ester Mae (Clariloops) and Anna Morley.
Warm Mids Afternoon is a chance to experience music in a way that feels more like a waking dream than a night out. This isn't your standard gig. No stiff-backed seats, no standing awkwardly with a drink in your hand. We want you to sink in, spread out, and get truly horizontal if the mood takes you.
Bring cushions, blankets, pillows, a book or a craft project. Build yourself a little nest and let the music carry you somewhere soft and far away.
This event invites you to immerse yourself in beautiful sounds that reflect winter's embrace.
Clariloops is the project of Ruby Ester Mae through which she weaves clarinet melodies into layered electronic atmospheres. Drawing on a foundation in classical music and a deep passion for ambient electronica, Ruby uses clarinet, effects pedals, and synthesisers to create meditative sonic journeys that invite deep listening and introspection. With five solo releases and collaborations alongside IKSRE, Six Missing, and Garreth Brooke, Clariloops continues to explore compositions that are tranquil yet dynamic, balancing improvisation with careful structure.
Anna Morley is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer based in Naarm. Anna crafts electro-acoustic, nuanced instrumentals centred around her principal instrument, the vibraphone. Her live shows are a unique blend of vibes, keys and vocals with handmade beats and samples, weaving intricate layers of sound. With a discography spanning six albums, most recently “Desire Path” with Zoltan Fecso (2026, Oxtail Recordings), Anna recently made the move back to her birthplace of Melbourne after almost two decades in Europe, bringing with her a swag of musical experiences and influences.
