Event description

An important community forum and Q&A on traffic and transport. With the cancellation of the Beaches Link Tunnel, it's time to discuss what solutions are on offer!

Hosted by Zali Steggall MP, Federal Member for Warringah and Michael Regan MP, NSW Independent Member for Wakehurst, you will hear from a panel of experts as they discuss the transport and traffic issues in Warringah and Wakehurst.

Expected Key Topics:

● The NSW Government's alternative strategy following the official discontinuation of the ‘Beaches Link Tunnel’ project.
● Insights and recommendations from the Bus Taskforce Report.
● Specific issues related to traffic congestion, particularly at Spit Bridge and the ‘Officeworks’ Intersection at Dee Why.
● Privatisation of State Transit and bus service delivery, including Keolis Downer and the CDC fleet servicing this region.
● Concerns regarding queues at Wynyard, as well as issues at Neutral Bay/Mosman stops and related safety issues.
● The long term structural viability of Spit Bridge, including any plans for widening or alterations, any plans or considerations for alleviating congestion via alternative corridors such as the East West axis to Chatswood.
● Enhancing our Manly and Mosman Ferry services
● The future and innovation of transport, including e-bikes and the introduction of Trackless Trams

You will have the opportunity to submit your own questions when you register and we will endeavour to answer these during the event.
