Waste Not. Want Not.
Event description
From the source to the sea, the Birrarung is subject to the travesties of human waste, plastics, polystyrene, and animal and agricultural waste. How do we change behaviour, policy and our very social immagination to eliminate pollution from entering our beloved Birrarung?
Meet with teams of RMIT Masters of Communication Design students to discuss their proposed campaigns to improve awareness and change behaviour to reduce litter and contamination entering the Birrarung and perhaps contribute to our different relation to the Birrarung. What is good for the river is good for us!
Drop in any time from 1pm to 5pm to chat with the students about their campaigns. Your feedback, ideas & suggestions will be warmly welcomed and will contribute to our work as we seek to make the Yarra, Birrarung River healthy, protected and loved.
This event is hosted by the RMIT University Master of Communication Design.

Acknowledgement of Country
The Yarra Riverkeeper Association acknowledges that the lands and waterways of the Yarra, Birrarung catchment, are the unceded territories of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung and Bunurong peoples. We pay respect to Traditional Owners, who have, and continue, to care for Country. We acknowledge that the river now called Yarra has always been known as the Birrarung by its custodians.
