Waste Reduction and the Circular Economy is a workshop for businesses wanting to cut down on waste, save money on landfill bills and work towards a more circular economy for the benefit of our people and planet.
Come and get the lowdown from Wastebusters and other local leaders in sustainable business on how to reduce the amount of waste going into your bins. Hear their stories about creating a thriving circular economy in our community to motivate and inspire you on your own zero waste journey. This is a great chance to get together, learn from the experts and collaborate with others to help turn your ideas into more real life success stories.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how recycling works in our district
- Develop an understanding of the circular economy and what it could look like in our community
- Become familiar with how to use the Waste Hierarchy as a tool for prioritising action
- Hear examples of local businesses making sustainable, affordable and beneficial changes
- Workshop practical ideas to take away and put into action
- Find out what support is available to help you on your waste reduction journey
