It’s back, and it’s bigger, bolder, and more inspiring than ever.
The Wastebusters Refashion Show returns on Thursday 19 March 2026, bringing the community together for a night celebrating creativity, craft, and the clothes we love.
Expect slow fashion in action, with a runway of thoughtfully designed pieces made from repurposed and sustainably sourced materials. Featuring work from established sustainable designers from across the country and passionate hobbyist makers, this is a show that proves great clothing starts with care, intention, and imagination.
Refashion is about falling in love with our clothes again. Pieces with stories. Outfits you want to wear on repeat. Style that feels good and does good.
Our much-loved moodboards return, showcasing head-to-toe looks styled entirely from secondhand finds from Wasties.
In the lobby, explore the Wastebusters Pop-Up Shop, packed with beautiful pre-loved pieces to shop on the night.
If you love great style, care about sustainable fashion, and want a feel-good night out with friends, Refashion is for you!
Early bird tickets are $20 until March 1st, and Student tickets are $15. Every Refashion show so far has sold out, so don’t leave it too late.
Doors open 6pm, curtains drawn 6.30pm.

FAQs
- What time should I arrive?
If you fancy a bit of kai, a nice drink and a browse of the Wastebusters pop-up shop, arrive at 6pm. That'll give you half an hour to get settled. Otherwise, if you'd like to dive straight into the show, you should arrive at 6.25pm.

- What is the moodboard category?
Our moodboard part of the show is where our fabulous shop team have curated stylish outfits based on moodboards members of our community have sent in to us (and will be modelling on the night). If you're keen to put together your own moodboard, email abi@wastebusters.co.nz
- Is there a dress code?
Wear something you already love. The outfit that makes you feel completely yourself.
- Is this suitable for children?
The show is pretty loud and goes on until 9pm. We'd recommend getting a sitter for children aged 12 and under for this one.
- Is there food and drink available?
Yes! We have a bar, and small plates from the wonderful xxxx
