WasteSorted Schools & Clean Schools workshop - Ellen Stirling Primary School
Event description
Join the team from WasteSorted Schools and Keep Australia Beautiful Council to learn how to avoid and recover waste, and protect our environment, through litter prevention and waste reduction. This workshop includes:
- a step-by-step guide on how to run a whole school waste and litter prevention program
- loads of resources to take back to your school
- laws relating to litter, social and environmental impacts and behaviour change
- how to get started with waste avoidance and resource recovery projects
- information on how to become an accredited WasteSorted School and apply for grant funding
- resources and incursions available
- A presentation by and tour of Ellen Stirling Primary School to see their waste initiatives.
The workshop is suitable for school staff including teachers, principals, EAs, administration staff, gardeners and parents. It is FREE and teacher relief reimbursements are available for two staff from each school.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, schools who are new to both the WasteSorted Schools and Clean Schools programs, or new staff at an already accredited school. It is recommended that you complete the WasteSorted Schools online learning module prior to attending the PD.
