WasteSorted Schools high schools workshop - John Curtin College of the Arts

This workshop is for high school staff, wanting to learn about waste avoidance and recovery initiatives in a school setting. 

Topics include:

• WasteSorted Schools program (including accreditation and grants)

• Assessing your waste

• Setting up infrastructure

• Student involvement

• Curriculum available for high schools

• Hands-on activities

We will also have representatives from other sustainability organisations who work directly with high school staff and students and a tour of John Curtin College of the Arts will be included in the workshop program to see waste and recycling projects in action. 

It is recommended that you complete the WasteSorted Schools online learning module prior to attending this workshop: https://wssonlinelearning.wa.gov.au/

The workshop is FREE and teacher relief reimbursements are available for two staff from each school.


The workshop is suitable for secondary school staff including teachers, principals, administration and other non-teaching staff members.
