Description

At this Greening Dams event our key presenter is Jen Smith from the Gippsland Ag Group

Jen has over 20 years experience in beef and sheep farming.

Jen will discuss ways to increase water quality on your property and ensure supply to stock, and she will share her personal experiences navigating drought and bushfire recovery.

We will also visit a nearby property to look at some innovative solutions to water management and see one of our 2026 case study sites.

The South Gippsland Landcare Network (SGLN) has been connecting people and country in South Gippsland since 1995.

Today our network spans 17 local Landcare groups and more than 500 families who live, farm and care for this remarkable part of Victoria.

Our members are primary producers, hobby farmers, tree changers, backyard gardeners and environmentalists of all kinds — a diverse community that finds common ground in caring for the land.

Together we work to increase biodiversity, support sustainable land management, and build the kind of community where people show up for each other and for the places they love.
