Waterbugs at the Sanctuary
Description
Experience the diversity of life beneath the water!
As part of the Great Southern Bioblitz, we will be sampling the Sanctuary wetlands to observe as many species as possible. Observations will then be uploaded to iNaturalist. The waterbug session will go for 2 hours, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.
Join our iNaturalist project to go into the running to win a prize for most species observed during the Bioblitz!
Suitable for kids and adults alike. Please note, adult supervision is required.
FAQs
What do I need to bring?
Please dress appropriately for the weather (eg. appropriate footwear - no thongs or heels). You can bring a mobile phone to create observations of the waterbugs you collect on iNaturalist. These observations will contribute to the Great Southern Bioblitz.
What happens if it rains?
The sorting area will be under cover.
