Event description

Explore watercolor painting while creating beautiful greeting cards appropriate for any celebration. Alla from Harvested Hues will lead this workshop designed for beginners and experienced artists alike. You will create several unique cards to take home, and learn the skills and gain the confidence to paint more on your own.

This class is conducted with natural soil-based watercolors and all participants will have an opportunity to experience the beauty of these professional-grade natural materials.

Celebrate Spring by painting gorgeous cards for with adorable chicks, flowers, dumpster fires, and other Spring themes. 😉

$45 per person. All skill levels encouraged to sign-up!

All supplies provided. One drink included per ticket.

Fiber Artist/Artist/Data Scientist/Pattern Seeker

As a knitter based in St. Paul, Minnesota, I use fiber art to live into my core values of creativity and connection. Each piece I create speaks to the profound beauty of working with my hands, transforming raw materials into something functional, beautiful, or otherwise meaningful.

I source my materials locally, partnering with local shepherds and foraging for dye plants in the Minnesota landscape. This practice roots my work in the community and the land, fostering a deep sense of connection to both.

Teaching fiber art and visual art classes privately and with the Textile Center around the Twin Cities is an extension of this connection. Through my classes I share the skills and joy of knitting and other fiber arts, and occasionally painting, helping others discover the expressive power of fiber art.

As a practicing data scientist, I am captivated by the intricate designs that emerge from seemingly simple elements. The combinations of each stitch, stroke, data point, and raw material tells complex and harmonious stories.

My work celebrates the interconnectedness of community, nature, and pattern seeking. It is my hope that each piece I create and every class I teach resonates with a sense of place and belonging, reflecting the rich tapestry of our shared human experience.
