Casual beginners Watercolour classes
Event description
A series of beginner's watercolour casual classes for those who want to try watercolour classes for the first time or for those who would like to extend their beginner level skills further. Join me, Rebecca Prince, on Saturdays for 2.5 hr sessions of exploring with watercolours. Each week we will explore watercolour foundational techniques through different small projects completable within a class. Please refer to the schedule below to see what each class will entail. If you have your own materials please bring them along otherwise you may purchase materials from me for a fee (fees listed under schedule)Â
1st class March 16th:  colour wheel and colour scheme project: applying an unusual colour scheme to an illustration of a fluffy animal, mixing colours and textural mark making techniques.
2nd class April 6th: Painting florals: layering and lifting techniques, exploring shape and texture
3rd class April 13th:Â Painting fruit still life, layering and lifting techniques for highlights
4th class April 20th : Watercolour effects: using salt, and other mediums with watercolour to create certain effects that can be applied to landscapes and other subject matter
April 27th: Painting a small simple landscape: learn how to paint the texture of distant trees and a hilly landscape, we will cover trees, sky and hills as well as composition and focal points.
Materials fees:Â
Watercolour paper: $1 per A3 sheet
Palette and paints $12
paint useage there after 50 cents per paint serve (1 small pea sized blob)
Brush, water jar, sponge useage: free
