This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This workshop will cover techniques associated with quick painting and observation and simplification of landscapes and is ideal for those wanting to acquire skills for painting during travel or painting outdoors for enjoyment. We will cover colour choice and how to use a minimal palette as well as quick observational mark making, creating depth illusion, tonal contrasts and capturing light. This is a great follow on from the Japanese minimalist landscape workshop however it is not reliant on it so can be done separately. Beginners are also catered for in this session as well as more experienced painters.

all materials except paints included in the price, if you would like to purchase paints from me to use on the day please bring your own palette (ceramic is best) and then there is a charge of $1.50 per tube squeeze, you may then take any left over paint home with you on your palette at the end of the session
