GALLERY ONE IS A SELF-FUNDED, NOT-FOR-PROFIT COMMUNITY ART GALLERY AND TEACHING STUDIO, FOUNDED IN 1974 AS THE MITCHAM VILLAGE ART & CRAFTS ASSOCIATION. IT IS THE PASSION AND GENEROSITY OF OUR ARTISTS, ART EDUCATORS, AND VOLUNTEERS THAT BREATHES LIFE INTO THIS ORGANISATION. EACH YEAR WE BRING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER THROUGH 8 EXHIBITIONS, 20 WEEKLY ART AND CRAFT CLASSES, MANY WORKSHOPS, EVENTS, CONCERTS, ART AND CRAFT MARKETS AND ONE NATIONAL ART PRIZE.

GALLERY ONE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT WE ARE MEETING ON THE TRADITIONAL COUNTRY OF THE KAURNA PEOPLE AND PAYS RESPECT TO KAURNA ELDERS PAST, PRESENT AND EMERGING. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land. We acknowledge that they are of continuing importance to the Kaurna people living today. We also extend that respect to other Aboriginal Language Groups and other First Nations.
