Watermelon Crawl
Event description
“I can guarantee that you’re gonna have a ball, learning how to do the watermelon crawl”
Join us on July 26th for an evening of Line Dancing!
Line Dancing Lesson from 7-8:30pm by Copperhead Meg and Tori Tornado
Open Dancing from 8:30-10pm!
In addition to the Watermelon Crawl, the lesson will include more fun and classic line dances including Footloose, the Boot Scootin' Boogie, the Barn Dance, and more.
The event's theme, The Watermelon Crawl, is an iconic line dance done to the tune of the same name, popularized by Tracy Byrd in 1994. The song is about the adventures of someone who pulls off the highway into a small town in Georgia having their annual watermelon festival. Read more about and see videos of the Watermelon Crawl here.
The lesson is geared toward teenagers and older, but kids we welcome to participate as much as they can!
Feel free to come early and picnic. Our farm store will be open during the whole event for picnicking needs, snacks, and beverages. TBD on whether we'll have a food truck here!
