Event description
At this self-facilitating drop-in session, and we’ll provide you with:
Gloves and a seedling tray or egg carton with 12 planting slots OR bring your own 12-slot egg carton.
Soil made from potting mix and FOGO compost.
Seeds in season for sowing: sugarbaby watermelon, spearmint and lettuce (2-4 seeds per planting slot).
Stations will be set up with instructions for you and your child to sow your seeds (you’ll only need a few seeds per hole). We will also provide a small guide to take home and ensure your seedlings reach harvest for you and your kids to enjoy!
Please note:
This event is mostly self-facilitating, so parents are required to follow instructions and assist their children in sowing seeds. Staff is limited on the day.
Recommended child age: 5+.
The event is drop-in, so you may leave as soon as you like.
