Event description
This class is designed for the student who is either experienced or new in the medium of watercolor.
The class will explore methods of watercolor, taking the time to experiment with color and play with how the medium responds to the paper and pigment. Students will incorporate materials such as lace, paper, images, string, and other elements that can be used to create a collage, possibly building up the surface.

Duration: 4 weeks, 1 class per week
Days: Mondays, July 7 - July 28, 2025
Time: 10am - 3pm (5 hours)

About the Instructor:
Lynn Richardson is a working artist and an Instructor in the Art Departments of Park University and Metropolitan CC, spanning the last 25 years of her working career. Lynn's first career was as an International Flight Attendant, taking her all over the world. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art from UMKC, Art Certification K-12 from Avila University, and a Masters from Baker University.
Supplies: The instructor will contact registered students directly regarding materials and supplies.
Parking: Parking is available in any of the (NON-RESERVED) KCAI parking lot spaces across campus. There is also available street parking surrounding KCAI campus.
Refund: Registered participants can receive refunds to the original payment method (Studio Fee minus Humanitix Fee) up to 14 days before the first class.
