What data do you keep?

Forth Canoe Club will keep a record of members’ names and addresses and contact details on a computer accessible to the Forth Canoe Club Committee. This includes your in-case-of-emergency contact details.Your record may be inspected by contacting the Membership Secretary. We are affiliated to the SCA and will pass on your data for insurance and membership statistics use. By signing up this course, you are agreeing for Forth Canoe Club to use your contact data in this way if necessary.

Do I need to let you know about medical conditions?

During the check-out questions, you will be asked about medical conditions that might affect your paddling and you'd like the coach to know about. Although this question is optional (you can enter "none") do let us know if there is anything we should know about to help give you the best and safest paddling experience.Any medical details will be shared with the coaches / instructors leading the event and may be visible to other committee members. If you prefer to give medical details only to the coach / instructor you may do so by email or verbally at the start of the event.

Description

Who is this course for?

Adults age 16 and over. (We also have under 16s sessions on the same evenings.)

Membership

This course is for Forth Canoe Club members. Membership can be purchased for adults, valid till end of February, on Humanitix here; https://events.humanitix.com/forth-canoe-club-membership-2026-27

When:

6 consecutive Tuesday evenings, In the pool at 8:50pm. Sessions last 40 minutes.

Location:

Leith Academy, 20 Academy Park, Edinburgh EH6 8JQ

What you should bring with you:

There are changing rooms and lockers may be available or you may have to leave your belongings in a bag by the pool side during the session. Swimming suit / shorts are ideal and wear a t-shirt if you want.

Payment

The cost of the course is £72 for 6 sessions. Individual sessions may also be available.
