    TheΒ Wattle FellowshipΒ invites you to Spotlight 2024:Β the second of three events that showcase the learnings, development and impact of students involved in our program. You will have the opportunity to hear about the journey and projects fellows have undertaken, and connect with other people passionate about sustainability over lunch.

    🌏 Our mission is to unlock the leadership the planet needs. Our vision is one where sustainability practices and principles are embedded into every social endeavour. Wattle Fellowship action projects are diverse and divergent, but all aim to create positive social and environmental outcomes. 

    🎯 At this event, our fellows will share with you:

    • How tracking canΒ increase civic engagement and political accountability through the EPIC (Environmental Policy Influence Count) Tracker (Kaavya Jha, Diploma in Languages, Master of Public Policy and Management)
    • TheΒ unfolding revolution of cargo bikes and how they are reducing car useΒ (Ellen Martin, Master of Urban Planning)
    • The power of games as a catalyst for climate action (Nellie Seale, Doctor of Philosophy - Engineering and IT)
    • Transformation of aΒ nursing school sim lab into sustainability practice (Meiling Zhou, Master of Advanced Nursing Practice/Master of Public Health)
    • Opportunities forΒ communities, businesses, and individuals to leverageΒ existing skills to address sustainability challenges (Timothy McIntosh-Hannah, Master of Environment)
    • The waysΒ planetary health and community development intersect, with a focus onΒ African youthΒ (Radhia Abdirahman, Master of Public Policy and Management)
    • How modeling the University of Melbourne's operations and supply chain impact on biodiversity can improveΒ sustainability strategies (Samuel Hickman, Bachelor of Science)
