Wattle szn
Event description
Bite Sized Rides is back for its third season! We're getting back into gear with a short ride along the Merri Creek and ending at Half Moon Cafe for lunch, because nothing says Spring like golden wattles and eating falafels in the sunshine.
The route/ride
~13km loop on trails and bike lanes, touring the golden wattles along the creek.
All bikes are welcome. Route is mostly flat with some gravel/dirt sections.

Who this is for:
This is a social, no drop ride for anyone and everyone that’s keen to pedal. That means we ride as a group at a friendly chatting pace, and no one gets left behind.
It's a ride and not a race, and we'll take breaks whenever needed.
Please respect that this is a ride specifically for people of colour.
Logistics:
Meeting at 10:15am for a 10:30am roll out. Starting and ending at Moreland Station.
We aim to be back by 12:30pm, but due to the nature of social group rides, please plan to be flexible.
This ride is weather dependent. If the weather is bad, we will make a call two days in advance to reschedule.
Our ride guides do their best to plan safe routes that keep you off roads, but you are responsible for your own safety. Helmets are required.
Bring:
A bike lock!
Water, sunscreen
Lunch is pay your own. If funds are the barrier to you coming along, we have financially supported tickets no questions asked!
Signed up but can't come anymore?
Please cancel your ticket by replying to this email or texting Yana at 0444 522 183 ASAP so that we can give your spot to someone else. There is often a waitlist and the sooner you can cancel, the better :)
We get that things can come up, but our rides are also entirely volunteer run, so please give us a hand with managing the event!
Is there a fee?
Our rides are free and wholly volunteer-run. But if you'd like to make a contribution to keep us going, you can do so in the check-out page. :)
Questions?
This ride will be guided by Yana. If you have Qs, please ask in the group chat or message us privately.
