Welcome to Wattlebrush School of Bushcraft and Wizardry, where Hogwarts meets the Australian bush! Join us at Wattlebrush for a school holiday camp filled with hands-on Weizarding classes and outdoor adventures designed for young Wiz-kids aged 9-12.
From brewing potions with local ingredients to Wizarding Duels with friends, this camp is packed with spellbinding fun and educational activities. The theme this September holidays is Wanderlust where every wand tells a story and every wizard finds their magic! Join in for a day event or the whole week – it’s up to you! Week campers are kitted with their own quality canvas foraging bag, spell book and biology wall poster. Camp runs 8.30 - 3.30 Monday to Friday with activities starting officially at 9am.
Monday – Charms and Wizard Duels ⚔️
Just like in the wizarding world, the wand chooses the wizard. Your Wiz-kid will forage for the perfect wand, design it with unique elements, and discover what makes their wand truly special. The day is filled with games and Hogwarts-inspired adventures to put their new wands to good use. Everyone will have a chance to master the Levitation Charm and send things flying!
Tuesday – Care of Magical Creatures 🐉
Learn Care of Magical and local creatures and dive into the world of dragons with a thrilling Dragon Survival Course! Young Wiz-kids will learn the secrets of surviving and thriving in Dragon territory including navigating an obstacle course to retrieve dragon eggs, crafting protective amulets, and learning burn first aid. It’s a day packed with hands-on fun and magical learning.
Wednesday – Quidditch Practice ⚡
Join Wattlebrush School of Bushcraft and Wizardry for a day of Quidditch practice! Young Wiz-kids will hone their skills with a wizarding ball games tournament and broomstick obstacle course. There will be in flight wizarding duels where students learn the art of acting for greenscreen from a film industry professional. They will also recreate iconic scenes with Harry Potter lego building run by a creator involved in the LEGO movies.
Thursday – Potions and Plants 🍵🌿
Discover the art of potion-making and the magical properties of plants! Your Wiz-kid will brew magical potions to take home and each lesson will be captured in their personalised spell book. Activities include reading tea leaves, mixing survival salves and foraging for natural ingredients. They’ll also have a blast building monsters and brooms with natural ingredients. It’s a day filled with outdoor adventures and magical fun.
Friday– Wizards in the Wild 🔮
Curiosity is the key to this day of Wizarding classes. Come discover the magic of your own backyard. Your Wiz-Kid will love wandering through Balmoral Park foraging for waterproof materials to build shelters for faery folk and make natural eucalypt dyes. They will experience myths and legends of Queensland with costumes and drama games and discover their Australian animal totem. Parents can even test their magic skills at our final wizarding duel to end the afternoon.

Wattlebrush is about exploring the magic of your own backyard and making incredible childhood memories. Our activities are immersive, supportive and run by registered teachers. We’re all about supporting local families with magic school holiday care solutions.
What to bring: Food for the day (fridges are provided), a spirit of curiosity, sun protection, and hydration.
Accessibility and safety: We'll send a comprehensive starter form to gather your child's comfort and safety requirements. For accessibility, students need to be able to climb the Scout Hall stairs with or without assistance. Many activities take place outdoors, so sun protection and weather-appropriate clothing are essential each day.
