Wayapa Wuurrk (cultural meditation and movement) with Lee Couch
Event description
Why do we get into the outdoors? At the core of it, it’s the being there. Breathing it in, letting it envelop us. It’s not a stretch to say a trip or a day or even a few hours in nature can cross into being something spiritual.
Lee Couch is a Gamilaroi woman and well-being facilitator that works specifically in making a spiritual connection to country. At this Second Nature event, Lee will focus on Wayapa Wuurrk, connecting to country through cultural meditation and movement; and Dadirri, a deep listening to country. Her work helps you better understand WHY we feel such an intimate connection to the outdoors, and how we can better tap into that feeling.
The event will be held at Namalata Willem. A beautiful, unique outdoor venue nestled into a quiet corner of CERES in Brunswick East.
