Wayapa Wuurrk Mindfulness & Weaving Workshop
Event description
Join Jodie Dowd, Noongar weaver for a morning of Wayapa Wuurrk First Nations mindfulness practices. During this free and all-inclusive workshop (ages 15+) you will:
- Be gently guided through the 14 elements of the internationally accredited Wayapa Wuurrk (‘Connect to the earth’) physical wellness practice
- Learn to weave a bracelet or small basket
- Share your thoughts on the Wayapa practice during a Yarning Circle
- Enjoy light refreshments

WHERE: Narrabeen NSW - venue information will be provided closer to the date
REGISTRATION: Limited tickets, registration essential. Please advise on any dietary restrictions when booking.
This event was made possible through an Arts and Creativity grant from the Northern Beaches Council. As part of the grant Jodie was able to attain accreditation in Wayapa Wuurrk in January 2025 and is offering a limited number of free workshops to gain feedback on the practice from participants.

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend on the date, we are able to offer options to reschedule.
