Wear it Purple Day Pop-Up Launch at Colac Library

To celebrate Wear it Purple Day, Colac Library, in partnership with headspace Colac and the Trailblazers Youth Reference Group, is hosting a week-long pop-up information and creative space co-designed by and for our community.

GRLC libraries are committed to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for all. Wear it Purple Day is an annual day of significance in Australia, dedicated to celebrating and supporting LGBTIQA+ young people. By wearing purple and taking part, we show that everyone deserves to be proud of who they are and feel safe, supported, and included.

Join us for the opening of the Pop-Up Space with a special address from a QHUB Geelong keynote speaker on creating safe and inclusive communities. The keynote begins at 11:30am, followed by light refreshments and the opportunity for Q&A. Reminder to wear purple for the week in the lead up to August 29th.
