    Event description

Join Envirohub & Emergency Management Tauranga for an interactive and engaging workshop designed to help you and your family prepare for natural disasters in the Bay of Plenty. Learn how to stay safe during earthquakes, tsunamis, and flooding events.

    • Info on the effects of our changing climate and what impacts we may experience in the future
    • Practical advice on creating an emergency plan and supply kit
    • Games with the chance to win a grab & go kit valued at $100, packed full of all the things you will need if disaster strikes
    • Virtual reality simulations of earthquake and tsunami scenarios, giving you an insight into how you might react, and how to make smart decisions
    • Evacuation zone maps and tips for finding safe locations
    • Free pizza!

This event is suitable for adults and tamariki. The VR simulation is suitable for ages 12 years and older.
