Weave a Wall Hanging

Are you looking for a new way to relax at home?  Learn weaving! 

Once you understand the basics, weaving can be a therapeutic craft. It is the perfect rainy-day activity, or it can help to recharge your creativity.

Art does not have to be costly. In this class, you will learn how to make your own loom using cardboard and then use your loom to create a unique wall hanging. A variety of yarns and other fun materials can be used to weave texture and design into your woven piece. Let your personality shine through your art by choosing your color scheme and incorporating any materials you have from home.   By the end of the class, you’ll have a beautiful wall hanging to add to your home decor, and the knowledge to continue creating without the large investment of special looms. This activity is great for a novice, no experience is needed. Kids 12 and up are encouraged to participate!

                 All materials will be provided.

  * Students are welcome to bring string, yarn, cloth strips, pinecones, feathers, and other small odds and ends they may want to incorporate into a unique wall hanging.
