Event description
Come learn about the ancient craft of weaving cloth with Happywattle Handweaving. This is a hands-on class where you will get to use modern rigid heddle looms to make your own piece of woven fabric.
Plus, enjoy a complimentary drink of wine (or non-alcoholic drink), and a platter of delicious fruits, cheeses and charcuterie as you get creative and crafty!
This hands-on class goes for 2.5 hours and you will be able to take home your own piece of woven cloth - we'll also talk about ways you might like to use what you've made.
No prior weaving experience or equipment required - I will have looms and yarns on hand to play with. You are also welcome to bring your own yarn if you have something particular you want to try. (Please advise if you cannot use certain animal fibre, such as wool or alpaca, so that I can supply alternatives.)
OAC member & patron prices available - contact happywattlehw@gmail.com or admin@orbostartscentre for the booking link!
