Event description

In this unique River of Art event, join Jules for lunch at 'Tilba Valley Winery & Ale House' and learn Random Weaving to live music!

Learn to transform plant fibres into baskets, platters, wall hangings and sculptures. 

Eurobodalla Fibre & Textile Artists Group (EFTAG) member, artist and designer Julieann (Jules) Brooker will guide you to prep, shape and complete at least one piece, and practice the skills to continue creating at your own pace.

No weaving experience required, the joy is in the doing. 

Leave with your creativity reignited, new connections and a sustainable art practice.

This hands-on workshop includes:

  • The contemporary 'random weave' technique
  • Guidance re collecting and preparing plant fibres for weaving and basketry 
  • All materials including foraged Bangalow palm inflorescence
  • A $30 voucher redeemable for food and non-alcoholic bevvies
  • Live music
  • Connection and play!

Tilba Valley is family-run, family and pet friendly, so why not bring yours for a relaxing Spring afternoon while you create? The vineyard is nestled amongst rolling country hills and overlooks Corunna Lake, a short drive from the coastal townships of Narooma and Bermagui and the historical villages of Central Tilba and Tilba Tilba.
