Weaving Cats Claw
Event description
Join us for a wonderful weekend away for the whole family. Camp by the creek on a beautiful property in a quiet location and experience the full, holistic process of identification, collection and creating.
Nadia de Souza Pietramale.....the most passionate chemical free bush regen/landcare educator will share her knowledge and experience with the cats claw and how it is impacting the pristine river ecosystem and the trees.
Zimmi Forest...one of Australia's most experienced basketry teachers and makers will lead the weavers through 2 different basketry processes so you have all the techniques necessary to make as many or few baskets as you wish.
Hosted by Ange and Dave Bambach…. Landholders of the beautiful property Half Moon Station. They welcome you to experience the beauty of their land, their chemical free management practices and participate in finding solutions to challenging environmental problems without using environmental chemicals.
The weekend is very relaxing......you choose to be involved with what you have the energy for. The camp caters for all dietary requirements. The meals are organic produce......from the farm and locally sourced.
Allow the kids to hang out together at the camp or let them - those over 8 yrs old are welcome to join the weaving group.
